Veterans Affairs Social Work
MyLink Services offers Veterans Affairs Social Work, with a social work referral from your GP, under the DVA funding scheme.
Our returned service men and women can require additional help as they move into their older years and MyLink is here to provide support and assistance to those in need. Aging can be a difficult process for many, and for Veterans the support they require is often more complex. Additionally, our Veterans can often experience exclusion from their community due to PTSD, drug and alcohol addictions, physical disabilities, etc. Veterans Affairs Social Work provided by MyLink can assist in such circumstances to coordinate access to services and provide support.
MyLink is experienced in making the transition to life at home, or to a facility, simpler. We work closely with each of our clients to ensure they make the most of their DVA funding and feel supported throughout the process. We understand the difficulties faced and we endeavor to tailor our Veterans Affairs Social Work to each individual to help them best achieve their goals. Whether that is to be more included in the community, get on top of their home life or connect with family, MyLink provides a helping hand to get them there.
How Can We Help?
- Make it simpler for our clients to understand and navigate your DVA funding.
- Help clients connect with essential services such as nursing, allied health, cleaning and mental health care providers
- Take care of coordinating how our clients use their funding and give them the confidenceto access services independently.
- Providing access to transportation services
- Liaising with and arranging DVA Services
We understand that it’s not always easy to travel to a facility for our clients, that’s why we offer at home assistance. With flexible arrangements to suit each of our clients needs, it’s easier than ever to access Veterans Affairs Social Work.
Veterans affairs social work services are funded by the DVA. To access these services through MyLink, you need to obtain a referral from your General Practitioner.
